Gemma & Allen
Blake Hall is situated in Ongar, Essex and was the ideal location for a truly wonderful day for bride and groom, Gemma and Allen.
What a beautiful couple both inside and out!!
It was our first time filming at Blake Hall and what an experience it was. The grounds are very well kept and have some great spots for photo’s and video to be shot. They Hey Barn and The Essex Barn are where the reception and ceremonies are held but on this occasion the weather was good so it was only natural for the ceremony to be held outside. The owner and staff at Blake Hall are very nice, helpful and super accommodating.
The bride and party stayed in ‘The Old Coach House’ which is lovely and spacious and also next to the two barns ….. I do love a wedding when everything is in one location. It’s worth knowing that should you want a church wedding there is one just down the road from Blake Hall!!
From a shooting point of view, like with most weddings light is always an issue. The Essex Barn is fairly dark although it did have string lights which mad it look beautiful. The dance floor area was lit by us and the photographers (Debbie Wallwork Photography) using Rotolights on stands. Whilst we are on photographers I must say it was a pleasure working with Debbie and Mark what a great team! Only other issue was the ceremony where the couple where just inside which and it was really dark in there so trying to get good exposure for both outside and in was never going to happen.
Soho Cinematic wishes Gemma and Allen all the best for the future – Smile and be happy!!!
