LEE & LUCY
OSEA ISLAND Lee and Lucy’s day was set on Osea island. The weather was hot, the sky was blue, what a perfect day through and through! Osea Island is set just off the Essex coast and you can only drive there at certain times of the day! Sometimes the stars align and everything works out, including having sunshine which is very rare in the UK! For me, I got burnt to a crisp as I didn’t anticipate such glorious weather. I must put some sun screen in my video survival pack! The drone also got a little flight time and it was interesting watching the footage back. Although I did crash it into a jetty trying to ‘get that shot’! ……which didn’t make the cut! There is so much space on the island and plenty of cool places to photograph and film but as with most weddings time is very limited as most weddings do not run on schedule. I would love to shoot there again as I do love a one location wedding!!! Soho Cinematic wishes Lee and Lucy all the very best for the future – Smile and be happy!!

Gemma & Allen
Blake Hall Blake Hall is situated in Ongar, Essex and was the ideal location for a truly wonderful day for bride and groom, Gemma and Allen. What a beautiful couple both inside and out!! It was our first time filming at Blake Hall and what an experience it was. The grounds are very well kept and have some great spots for photo’s and video to be shot. They Hey Barn and The Essex Barn are where the reception and ceremonies are held but on this occasion the weather was good so it was only natural for the ceremony to be held outside. The owner and staff at Blake Hall are very nice, helpful and super accommodating. The bride and party stayed in ‘The Old Coach House’ which is lovely and spacious and also next to the two barns ….. I  do love a wedding when everything is in one location. It’s worth knowing that should you want a church wedding there is one just down the road from Blake Hall!! From a shooting point of view, like with most weddings light is always an issue. The Essex Barn is fairly dark although it did have string lights which mad it look […]

WETHERSFIELD What a cracking wedding in Wethersfield in the back garden of Aimee & Gregg’s house! This had to be the most original wedding I have shot, and I have to admit probably the most fun!!! When all your friends are musicians the wedding band ends up 25 strong with more members than Earth wind and fire!! The bride was singing, the groom was strumming the Les Paul and guests were jumping up on stage and smashing out good old classics!  This was a very unique wedding with plenty of laughs, fun and love!   Soho Cinematic would love to wish Aimee & Gregg all the happiness in the world – Smile and be happy!!
